Anacapa
Fine Yarns provides a
friendly and comfortable full
service yarn shop with an extensive
selection of gorgeous
fibers
from all over the world with
vibrant colors and textures to
keep you inspired all year long.
We offer knitting and crochet
yarns, supplies, classes, private
lessons, repair and finishing
services. We have trunk shows,
book signings and SUPER special
events!
Our
staff and instructors are
knowledgeable and very passionate
about the fiber arts. We at Anacapa
Fine Yarns are excited to provide
Ventura with a place to explore
your creativity and learn the
necessary techniques in the knitting
and crochet world.
We have been here for 4
years now and are located (
map/directions
) in Ventura at the corner of Telephone
and Market Street, next door to Quilt Ventura
and around the corner from Bead Time .
We offer a 1900 square foot space which
provides for a large classroom separate
from the shop area. In addition to the
classroom, there is space in the main shop
area for employees to assist customers
with their knitting challenges as they
arise.
Since opening, we
have had a charity
group of knitters that meet each
Friday morning to make hats for cancer
patients going through chemotherapy. The
hats are distributed to the local hospitals.
We have branched into making baby blankets
and some garments for babies that spend
time in the NICU, also at the local hospitals.
Thursday is our knitting
night at the shop. Everyone is welcome
to bring a project and come visit with
us. It's a great way to meet new people,
make new friends and get inspired by others
projects.
