Making gifts by hand is a great way to tell people that you care about them, because they know you took the time to make them something by hand, rather than just buying something from a store. As we get closer and closer to the big day, we have less and less time to knit or crochet our gifts, so here are a few ideas of other handmade gifts you can make (non-knitting or crochet related) that your friends and family will definitely appreciate! Framed CorkboardWith an old frame and a piece of corkboard, you can make this cute frame for organizing jewelry, christmas cards, or family photos in a cute decorative way Coffee Grounds SoapThink of how nice this would be to use in the morning! I love the smell of coffee, and the idea of recycling used coffee grounds into this luxurious soap is very appealing! DIY Monogram Painted MugsI made these cute monogrammed mugs last year for a few people and they were a big hit. All you need is a plain mug, large letter stickers, and oil-based Sharpies to make them! I used silver and gold for mine, but color combinations are endless! Marshmallow ShootersThese would be so fun to make for nieces and nephews, or any kids! Let them run around the backyard pelting each other with marshmallows, safe and tasty! All you need is PVC pipe pieces and fittings, and mini marshmallows! Sugar ScrubsSugar scrubs are easy to make with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry! They are fun to make, and fun to receive! Click here for a list of tons of different recipes. How cute would a little gift basket with a sugar scrub and other spa day goodies be? DIY Photo CoastersPrint out pictures of your favorite people, and make cute coasters out of them! Your mom or grandma would love a set of these! Rosemary Focaccia in a JarThis bread sounds super yummy, and you give the bonus gift of a house that smells like fresh baked bread! Mason Jar Candles with Beeswax SucculentsThese candles may be a little more labor-intensive, but they are so cute, I want to make some!! DIY CheckerboardThis would be cute and fun to make for kids, or adults! You can customize your checkerboard in the recipient's favorite colors! Lego Key OrganizerMy husband and I actually have one of these key holders hanging in our house, and he uses it for his keys all the time, what a fun and easy gift for the lego-lovers in your life!
If you have any other ideas for easy handmade gifts, post them below! I'd love to see them! Happy Crafting!
