Overview
Please note: we expect classes to fill quickly. Register in advance to secure your space. Students must pay for their class when signing up. Unless noted, students should purchase all supplies listed before attending class, including any pattern or notions. Class participants receive a 10 percent discount on class materials. In the event you must cancel your reserved spot, we must be given at least five days notice before the class date in order to refund your fees. If you do not, you forfeit your entire registration fee; however, if your place is filled by another student, we will refund your fee.
Class samples are available to view at the shop. Also, please be on time for class. Skill Levels are described as follows: Lamb (Level 1) Knitting-Know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Crochet-Know the chain, single and double crochet. Tunisian Crochet- Know the chain and Tunisian simple stitch. Sheep (Level 2) Knitting- Still building your knitting tool chest; know the basics of co, bo, k, and p and are ready for new challenges like using DPNs or circulars, simple stitch repeats, color changes, shaping (increases and decreases), and finishing. Crochet- Still building your crochet tool chest; know the basics and are ready for new challenges like simple stitch repeats, dimensional stitches (post stitches, popcorns), color changes, shaping (increases and decreases), and finishing. Tunisian Crochet- Still building your Tunisian tool chest; know the basics of cast on, bind off, simple and purl stitch, and are and are ready for new challenged like following stitch repeats, color changes, working in the round, increases, decreases and finishing. Alpaca (Level 3) Knitting-You have a few knitting successes under your belt and are ready for more challenging endeavors; ready for projects that use a variety of stitches and more complex stitch repeats, that use increases and decreases, as well as short rows to create more advanced shaping, and more involved finishing. Crochet- You have a few crochet successes under your belt and are ready for more challenging endeavors; ready for projects that use a variety of stitches in more complex stitch repeats, more involved color work, using increases and decreases to create more advanced shaping, and more involved finishing. Tunisian Crochet - You have a few Tunisian successes under your belt and are ready for more challenging endeavors; you're ready for projects that use a variety of stitches in more complex stitch repeats, more involved color work, using increases and decreases to create more advanced shaping, and more involved finishing. Vicuna (Level 4) Knitting-Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, more intricate fair isle, intarsia, cables, lace patterns, and numerous color changes. Crochet- Projects using advanced techniques; more intricate dimensional stitch combinations, complex lace patterns, and numerous color changes. Tunisian Crochet- Projects using advanced techniques and stitches, more intricate dimensional stitch combinations, complex lace patterns, and numerous color changes.
