Anacapa Fine Yarns On Friday, October 8th from 7pm to 10pm, Anacapa Fine Yarns will be hosting our Fall Show & Tell. Join us for this fun and inspiring event. Bring your favorite completed knit, crochet, woven or felted items; and show them off. It's always great to see finished handmade items. You will have an opportunity to show off your item(s) and tell us a little about them. Please join the fun. Snacks will also be served.
Holiday Party & FoodShare Drive-Saturday, December 4th, 12 - 5 pm On Saturday, December 4th from Noon to 5 pm, Anacapa Fine Yarns will be hosting its annual holiday celebration which includes a FoodShare drive. Now more than ever, many are in need of the basics (I said this last year and this year it still holds true). For every $1 FoodShare receives, they are able to buy $7 worth of groceries to provide to needy families. We are asking you to make a minimum donation of $5 and you will receive 10% off your purchases (up to a maximum of $25 off) for the day. Anacapa Fine Yarns will match all monetary donations made to FoodShare for the day. You can also still bring canned goods instead of $$ (or in addition to $$). Bring a minimum of four canned goods for the above discount (preferably things like peanut butter, tuna and beans). Please check expiration dates before donating them! This will be a party too! So feel free to bring a dish to our Pot Luck Holiday Party. Southern California Handweavers 'Weaving & Fiber Festival' Each year on the 1st Sunday of November the SCHG holds a BIG sale in Torrance, they invite many vendors to participate. Anacapa Fine Yarns has been there each year for the last four years and will once again have a booth on this November 7th. Many spinning and weaving suppliers, as well as yarn and other fiber related vendors participate. They have a Fashion Show and raffle. The event is from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, 3350 Civic Center Drive in Torrance. Check out the events of the day at their website http://www.schg.org/festival/index.html. ‘Stitches From the Heart’ is hosting an Afternoon Tea Join Stitches From the Heart for a Tea on Saturday September 25th from 12:30 to 3:00 pm, at their new location here at Anacapa Fine Yarns. Come find out more about this wonderful charity, helping babies around the country. Knit & crochet with other Stitches volunteers. Clean out your yarn and pattern stash to share with volunteers in retirement homes and schools for kids learning to knit and crochet.
